When I was searching for watercolor classes as a beginner, I found so many were just too complicated for a non-artist beginner like me. The projects assumed knowledge and talent that I did not possess. I was frustrated and intimidated before I even put brush and paint to paper.
But I still wanted to learn to paint, and I was determined!
After hundreds of hours of research and practice, I cobbled together bits and pieces of various content and techniques into an easier and more user-friendly experience.
And it worked! I was enjoying the process of painting and gradually advancing in technique and ability as I painted more and more.
It was simple and it was exciting and it was relaxing -- exactly what I hoped for when I first became interested in watercolor painting!
Since then, time and again, people were asking me about my path to creativity and how I learned to paint. I realized that my simplified process was a unique learning approach which would benefit other beginner painters who were like I was (a person with no artistic ability or knowledge). Mary Moreno Studio was created so I could share these easy tips and useful resources with other ordinary people who want creativity in their lives.
