What supplies do I need to start watercolor painting?

Just the basics! You can start with a small watercolor set, a round brush, watercolor paper, and water. My blog includes this art supply guide and budget-friendly tips on paper, brushes and paints.

Can I learn watercolor if I've never painted before?

Absolutely! (I did!) My content is designed for total beginners — zero painting experience needed. Check out this blog article to learn more about why watercolor is a great medium for beginners.

What's the easiest technique to try first?

Start with basic brushstroke drills and watercolor washes . They're relaxing, foundational, and a great way to explore your paints.

What if I don't have artistic talent?

It is common for beginners to feel they lack artistic talent — I was one of them! But honestly, painting skills are developed through repetition. Even 15 minutes a week over time will allow you to progress. Remember, every artist started out a beginner :)
